What a night,

It’s nights like this that make it really show us why what we do is worth while. Such a big thank you to Tupperware Remix Party and to everyone who came out and had a blast.

The Sandalines are always a treat I tell you. And I got to play bass in Gerodi Vision, I like this whole playing bass in bands thing, it’s really not that hard. Then  a band played, it’s some incarnation of The Grass, I believe they are calling themselves Money now but I am unsure. The Deadly Hearts delivered their rnr swagger with a guest tambourine player, and the ever improving hind Legs followed. Now Tupperware Remix Party are in a class of their own, the amount of energy delivered is the kind of thing dreams are made of, they are probably the best band to mix for at Reflections because there’s no vocal to compete with the pure awesome sonic revolution coming out of the speakers. Napalm Raid returned from tour to kick the shit out of Halifax once again, and HP/MP rocked once more.

No one won money, a couple of folks won the opportunity to spit beer on Adrian.

Here’s who played:

Sneezy Rabbits
The Sandalines
The Graboids
Geordi Vision
Money
The Deadly Hearts
Hind Legs
Tupperare Remix Party
King’s Eden
Napalm Raid
Who Cares
Like a Motorcycle
HP/MP
Make No Gains

Next week it’s $1000 on the wheel and the band that makes you go ‘HOLY SHIT!’ Mantasy. Be there! and deny the manticore!

 Fuck love,

Tons of fun last night. Napalm Raid were our big winners and grabbed the $800 prize. They’re going to be doing a pretty huge tour very soon and I don’t know if you know how much driving across the states costs or how much you get paid at punk gigs but it’s a lot and not much. It makes me so happy to do this when he can hand over a pile of cash to a band that’s either going to do a tour or release and album with it, I wish you guys all the best and you deserve it.

Thanks a bunch to The Nymphes for playing a wicked set as our host band and to Brian Dodge for being our special guest DJ.

Seekers of the Faith are really awesome I hope they keep doing that. King Fabulous was interesting to say the least, dude id pretty talented. Always a pleasure to see Hind Legs, I hope they don’t stop any time soon. And how about Crossses? Or Crosss… I’m not sure but either way wicked stuff. One of the most fun PRK sets yet, and again Napalm Raid are tight and loud, I love it.

Rockin’ Good Time.

Thanks for coming out on the coldest night this year. Lots of new bands played which was awesome. Hind Legs impressed the shit out of me with her voice. Whiskey Bent & Hell Bound are no doubt one of my new favorite bands. Dumpster Mummy are crazy mother fuckers. I never want No Flyers Please to stop playing. And The Nymphets are back!!! Awesome.

No one won the $200, Teenage Zipgun won the bonus money. But more importantly No Flyers Please walked away with the Deep Fryer much to the disappointment of all the other bands.

Big thanks to Isaac and Carly for letting me borrow their DS card to take these sub-par pictures.

Best night in recent memory!!!

Holy shit, Thanks so much to everyone for playing along and looking like a bunch of pretty ladies and handsome men, really made for a special night. Versus was our host band and they walked away with $1000!!! Good for them, they’re from Truro and have been playing nearly every week for the last couple months. Hope everyone enjoyed some poutine and some smoked meat, it was delicious.

Highlights include, Seekers, I think that’s what they were called playing songs they jammed on that day and fuckin ripping them. Union of the Snake, played super early and were one spot away from the money. Ruth F’n Minnikin, what a darling. The Hockey Fight are fucking awesome, I want to see more of them, Chixdiggit and the Hanson Brothers in 1. No Flyers Please always know how to bring the party. PRK playing a Darkness cover and Ryan Allen whipping out a double neck! Brian and Alf spitting beer on Adrian, And finally Jake from the Deadly Hearts Stone Cold Stunnering Adrian for the 3rd time into Broken glass.
