The Sandalines host this week. They were a short lived super group of sorts combining the talent and song writing skills of 3 individuals to force out a multitude of songs in their short life span.
The list of bands these fellas have been a part of consists of The Fat Stupids, Darby Hall, The Bad motels, Hoop Dreams, Spincycle Squared, The KNA, Montgomery Moth and so on.
This will also mark one of the last nights we have Marc Jonson in our fair city, he’s moving away to the big city like many before him and we wish him luck even though we hate him for leaving.
All this not to mention there’s $1000 on the wheel and we’re giving away free food for the last time ever! NACHOS!
Free Food night use to be a lot of fun but lately it seems it’s a lot more trouble than it’s worth. We’re going to re vamp the overflow night into something a little more special, stay tuned.

Messy Night,

The Odd Socks played Super early and were friggin good, I recommend checking these kids out if you like The Dead Milkmen. I saw The Johnny Dick Project for the first time and they blew me away a little bit. Even No Flyers Please popped by for a short set of Wire tunes. The .Gifs made their R4$ debut as a trio, and The Sandalines played their second last R4$ set. Dumpster Mummy made a mess and Napalm Raid were loud as fuck as usual. Mantasy and Slumlord finished the long night strong with short solid sets.

We were made some delicious pancakes and no money winners again! Yes we are sure you can hit the money! Craig did it a couple times through out the night. Either way we’re working on a couple new prizes for the wheel, stay tuned.

Here’s who played:

The Odd Socks
Johnny Dick Project
Intoxicide
Dylan and Josh
No Flyers Please
The .Gifs
The Sandalines
Years Behind
Dumpster Mummy
Napalm Raid
Geordi Vision
PRK
The Scoopouts
Mantasy
Slumlord

Next Week we are pleased (and saddened) to present the last Sandalines set (at least for a while) and some sort of food to be given away. This will also be the last week we give away food, we’ll let you know what we’re replacing the concept with soon.

ECT is playing their final performance this week at R4$. If you’ve never seen them before I’ll tell ya they’re something else. They feature an ex member of local punk pioneers The Chitz and sing in the long lost language of chiac.
If that wasn’t enough to grab you we also have $1000 on the wheel And we’re giving away free hot dogs and poutine (vegetarian options also served). Enjoy your time off before you go back to school! Let’s party!

What a night,

It’s nights like this that make it really show us why what we do is worth while. Such a big thank you to Tupperware Remix Party and to everyone who came out and had a blast.

The Sandalines are always a treat I tell you. And I got to play bass in Gerodi Vision, I like this whole playing bass in bands thing, it’s really not that hard. Then  a band played, it’s some incarnation of The Grass, I believe they are calling themselves Money now but I am unsure. The Deadly Hearts delivered their rnr swagger with a guest tambourine player, and the ever improving hind Legs followed. Now Tupperware Remix Party are in a class of their own, the amount of energy delivered is the kind of thing dreams are made of, they are probably the best band to mix for at Reflections because there’s no vocal to compete with the pure awesome sonic revolution coming out of the speakers. Napalm Raid returned from tour to kick the shit out of Halifax once again, and HP/MP rocked once more.

No one won money, a couple of folks won the opportunity to spit beer on Adrian.

Here’s who played:

.gifs
Sneezy Rabbits
The Sandalines
The Graboids
Geordi Vision
Money
The Deadly Hearts
Hind Legs
Tupperare Remix Party
King’s Eden
Napalm Raid
Who Cares
Like a Motorcycle
HP/MP
Make No Gains

Next week it’s $1000 on the wheel and the band that makes you go ‘HOLY SHIT!’ Mantasy. Be there! and deny the manticore!
